Our 1923 Buccanoy Shirt: a must-have for formal occasions. The historic design of our 1923 Buccanoy shirts dates back to the 1920s. Men's fashion had favored shirts with a straight collar since the mid-19th century. An additional collar, known as a "parasite collar," could be buttoned onto this collar. This made it easier to clean and starch dirty collars. This type of shirt was very popular until it was slowly replaced by turn-down collars in the 1940s.
Just like the original, it is possible to button a collar on our Buccanoy shirts.
