This type of button-up T-shirt has always been worn as a first layer next to the skin. Shirts were most often worn over a long-sleeved or short-sleeved version of this T-shirt. This is where the origins of our 1927 Henley Shirt lie.
It's thinner than our 1954 Utility Shirt and hasn't been brushed on the inside. This makes it lighter and cooler to wear. It's perfect under a shirt, or as a single layer in summer.
